  First Ever T20i on Pakistan soil

Pakistan played its first home T20i against Bangladesh in 2008. Match was played on 20 April 2008 at Karachi National Stadium. It was a night match in which Pakistan won the toss elected to bat first.

Dhiman Gosh was the debutant from Bangladesh team.


Pakistan came to bat first and was in trouble early on as they lost two quick wickets before even reaching 10 runs. Then came Misbha and did what he usually does. Misbah came and rescued his team and ending up scoring 87 runs on just 53 balls. Support from Younis and Malik lead the Pakistan team to reach 203 for 5 at the end of 20 over.

Bangladesh in reply didn't have a tough fight and we're collapsed on just 101 runs making Paksitan victorious by 102 runs. Only player to stand out from Bangladesh batting line up was Nazimuddin scoring 42 runs. Eight of their batsman didn't even reach double figure mark.

Pakistan bowling was exceptional as the debutant Mansoor took three wickets just in one over but unfortunately never seen him play ever after.

Pakistani middle order batsman Misbha ul Haq named man of the match for his all round performance.
